After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Yarmouk University in 1985, Dr. Kandah hastened to obtain a master’s degree in economics in 1987 from the (American) Middle East Technical University in the Turkish capital, Ankara. Then he received his military training and joined as a military commissioner at Mutah University, the military wing, and worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences until the end of his military service in 1990. In 1996, Dr. Qandah obtained a scholarship from the Central Bank to obtain a doctorate degree, which he obtained from the University of Glasgow / Scotland – United kingdom.
Dr. Kandah did not cut his ties with the academic world. In conjunction with his professional career, he worked as a part-time professor in a number of the most prominent Jordanian and regional academic edifices, teaching several subjects in economics at the level of bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and professional certificates at the University of Jordan, Qatar University, the Hashemite University, and the University of Al-Zaytoonah of Jordan, the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation/Masters in Business Administration (MBA), the Institute of Banking Studies in Jordan and the Institute of Banking Studies in Jordan.
He also participated in many international, regional and local conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as preparing and authoring a number of books, researches and published studies, which include seven books focused on: Engines of Economic Growth, Privatization, Banks, Financial Crises, GATS, Banks and Economic Policies to constitute a reference for researchers to enhance their economic knowledge. Dr. Kandah has also published several studies and research papers in various fields, including economics, commerce, finance and banking. Dr. Kandah presents a weekly economic program on social media platforms under the name Economic Horizons.
Dr. Kandah’s contributions were not limited to that, but he also worked through his membership in a number of prestigious institutions and organizations to spread his diverse knowledge in the areas of financial and economic crises, monetary policy, financial policy, international economics, financial markets, labor economics, banking, and economic development , control and regulation, privatization, public-private partnership, sustainable development, and corporate social responsibility.
